Egondu M. Onuoha

Egondu Onuoha, a seasoned and dynamic leader in the field of nutrition and dietetics, is the Vice President of Real Estate and Special Programs at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York City. With over two decades of dedicated service, Ms. Onuoha has significantly impacted community health through her administrative oversight of the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), serving over 20,000 clients across 7 Brooklyn sites.

 

Her credentials are extensive and diverse, including Registered Dietitian (RDN), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Diabetes Educator (CDN), Grant Professional Certified (GPC), and a Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (FAND). Her previous roles encompass Director of the Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP) and WIC program, and Administrator of the Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) and Diabetes Program.

Ms. Onuoha's candidacy for the President of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is built on a foundation of proven leadership, strategic vision, and a relentless commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
